Our Mission

The Fairmont staff shares a commitment to work in partnership with families and community members to prepare our students to be compassionate, thinking, creative, and responsible citizens of a global society in the 21st century. Our goals for each child are: 1) to meet or exceed grade level State standards and 2) to graduate from the sixth grade prepared to make good choices, act responsibly, and continue successful learning in middle school and beyond.

Our school was rebuilt in 2009. The new 53,000 square foot building that meets LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards for a green and sustainable design. See the About Fairmont page for more information on the school's history and construction.

Practice your Computer Skills for the upcoming Smarter Balanced Assessment

Practice your SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium) tech skills for the upcoming Field Test.  Students will encounter several technology components while taking the SBAC such as keyboarding, mouse skills, navigation etc.  This site serves as a resource for students and parents to help familiarize students with the necessary skills prior to taking the Field Test.  Check out the site and take a few of the activities out for a spin.
